American Fur Trade Era Encampment

Jacob's teacher sent an email letting us know about this event that was happening locally. We took sometime last Sunday (since we were game free) and spent it outside at this Encampment. The boys had a good time looking around checking things out. They threw some tomahawks, which was extremely disorganized. So the Officer came out in Carlos and he led the show, so our boys would stay safe. But we at least captured a few good shots of them.

I must say that there are some interesting people who partake in these encampments. Last Saturday poured around here and these people were camping out in the mess. I believe they didn't get a whole lot of visitors on Saturday and I'm pretty sure the pumpkin is a good indication of how they felt on Sunday. They looked like that was a good representation of their previous Saturday night.

It was a fun time. Although we have two very different kids. Carlos & Jacob enjoy the details and the educational part of it. Alex and I have a shorter attention span. I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree. ; )
